History
In midyear of 1999, a group of Christian friends under the direction of Pastor E. Shadrach Deline and his wife Blandy Deline began a weekly Bible study group at their home in Doraville Georgia. Pastor Deline was determined to be obedient to God, he taught the group boldly and without compromise and the word of God began to move beyond the four corners of his home.
The initial Bible study group of six friends grew to fifteen people in less than four weeks. To accommodate the sudden growth of the group, Pastor Deline gave up part of the space behind his beauty supply store on Jimmy Carter Boulevard and initiated the idea of the direction that God was leading him. Several confirmations to Pastor a Church were apparent.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people…
The MISSION that God revealed to Pastor Deline eventually became very clear in a VISION. Inspired by what God showedhim, Pastor Deline accepted the call and approved the most befitting name, Nation of Christ Believers Fellowship Center and scripture from God. (1Peter 2:9) “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
What was then a small Bible study group, now became a congregation that responded in faith to the call of Pastor Deline and the group united to carry out God’s mission. On August 4th of the same year, The Nation of Christ – Believer’s Fellowship Center a non-denominational Church under the laws of the State of Georgia officially became a domestic nonprofit corporation. The Nation of Christ is also a recognized nonprofit organization with Federal Exemption under section 501(c)(3) status.
Under the humble leadership of Pastor Deline, the Lord began to mold and shape this new Church body into His perfect will. By the end of the year 2000, Nation Of Christ had grown to about 55 members and many new ministries and programs were born, including The Lazarus House, The Royal Soldiers of Christ and other outreach auxiliaries like the food and bread team that fed the needy on weekly basis. Pastor Deline realized at this time the need for a bigger sanctuary and accomplished this vision by closing his beauty supply business and turning all of the twenty-four hundred square feet space into God’s house.
The year 2001-2002 began with additional members, Pastor Deline began to work with the Deacons to find ways to handle the growth. It was apparent that for safety and other reasons a 300 plus seat sanctuary with options for a family life center and the opportunity to operate community-based programs was needed. By the end of June 2001 after celebrating our 2nd year anniversary, the Church obtained favor from God and was led to a ten thousand square feet space at 2501 Royal Place, Tucker Georgia.
We have being here patiently since then until the Lord sees it fit to change our address again. To Him, be the Glory Always! To God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit we say thanks for all your blessings!
